The two ways to pay

Hourly
For small jobs: one measure, one failing refresh, a formula nobody can follow. Billed in half hours against a cap you set.
$1,500 to $5,000
Fixed price, most projects
For anything with a finish line: a dashboard, an automated report, a cleanup. Quoted after I see the data. A scope change gets a new number, agreed first.
What changes the price
- How many sources.
- One Excel export is simpler than accounting plus a CRM plus a database.
- How clean the data is.
- If the sources disagree with each other (duplicate customers, five versions of the same list), that gets fixed first, and it's often the bigger part of the job.
- How much documentation you need.
- Handover notes come with every project. A full data dictionary, or written procedures for an auditor, takes longer.
- How I get access.
- Working directly in your Microsoft 365 tenant is faster than sending files back and forth.
Licenses you pay Microsoft for separately
Microsoft bills software licenses directly. Before we start, I'll tell you which ones the design needs and find the cheapest setup. Current prices are on Microsoft's Power BI pricing page.
- Power BI Pro or Premium Per User licenses for the people who publish and view shared reports.
- A Fabric or Premium capacity, which some larger organizations use instead of a license for every viewer.
- Power Automate premium licenses, only if a flow needs a premium connector.

Yes. Send me one email about what's broken. If I'm not the right person, I'll say so and point you somewhere better if I can.
How soon can you start, and how long does it take?
A fixed-scope project usually takes about a week. Before you commit, I'll confirm whether I can meet your date.
Do you need a gateway?
Only for data on your own network, like an office shared drive or a SQL Server in your server room. SharePoint, OneDrive and cloud databases don't need one.
